Admission Process, Rules and Regulations
Admission is granted purely on merit and academic grounds, irrespective of cast, creed, religion or community. Every candidate must be registered with the college before taking the admission test. The registration fee is Rs.1000 (non-refundable). Registration does not guarantee admission with The Smart College. If offered admission, the parent / guardian is required to bring the student (candidate) to the college for an interview-cum-written test, on the basis of which admission is granted. At the time of admission, the student must produce his/her proof of passing the Matriculation exam by presenting a Matriculation certificate, marks sheet or any other evidence that endorses his/her appearance in the Matriculation examination, together with a school-leaving certificate from his/her last attended institution endorsing that he/she has passed the exam.
If a student wishes to withdraw from the college, one month’s notice in writing must be served to the college management. A refundable security deposit will be returned to the parent / guardian on the student’s last day. The refundable security deposit may be utilised by the college to offset insufficient notice of withdrawal, unpaid tuition fee or other charges, and damage to the college property caused by the outgoing student.
